Iraqi Kurdish autonomy's leader visits Turkey
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe leader of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government, Masoud Barzani, has visited Turkey for the first time in 20 years. In the framework of his visit Barzani has met with Turkish Prime Minister Recept Tayyip Erdoğan.
Barzani also lent his full support to the Turkish government’s peace bid during a joint rally with Prime Minister Erdoğan in Diyarbakır on Saturday, Hürriyet Daily News reports.
“My request from my Kurdish and Turkish brothers is to support the peace project. I want to tell them that we support the peace process with all our force,” Barzani is quoted as saying.
