Inauguration of President Margelashvili held in Georgia

The ceremony of inauguration of new Georgian President Georgy Margelashvili has started in Tbilisi. Former presidents Eduard Shevernadze and Mikheil Saakashvili have both been invited to the event.

Members of the Georgian parliament and delegations of 40 countries are attending the ceremony.

Margelashvili will be the first president to carry out only ceremonial duties, as Georgia has been transformed into a parliamentary democracy.
