Why is Netanyahu coming to Moscow?
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIsrael's official position on the Iranian nuclear crisis has not changed. According to Israel, any deal with the Islamic Republic is unacceptable and the country condemns all such initiatives. However, Vestnik Kavkaza correspondent in Israel Pyotr Lyukimson has learnt that in reality Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has decided to soften his line on the matter.
According to a high-ranking source, Israel has understood that an agreement between the Western powers and Iran is inevitable and is now trying to make this deal as favourable for the Jewish state as possible.
For instance, Israel demands that the agreement should include a provision according to which all sanctions against Iran will be restored if the Islamic Republic somehow violates the agreeement or refuses to finalize it.
It's probably this issue that will be discussed by Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Israeli Prime Minister's visit to Moscow, Lyukimson believes.
