Militants blow themselves up by accident in Kabardino-Balkaria

Two militants in the Russian North Caucasus Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria blew themselves up by accident today while trying to escape from the police, the Russian Investigative Committee says in a statement.

The incident occurred in a forested area in the Baksansky District of the republic. 

One of the militants was killed by the explosion and another one by the fire opened by the police officers.
