Militant supporters arrested in the Shamil district of Dagestan

Militant supporters have been arrested in Dagestan's Shamil district, where a counter-terrorism operation is under way, the Interior Ministry of Dagestan reports.

«Two accomplices were detained. Verification activities as part of the CTO continue", Itar -Tass quotes the Interior Ministry of Dagestan.

It was reported earlier that in the village of Teletl in the Shamil district of Dagestan a CTO regime was introduced after gunmen shot at police and wounded the chief of the local district police department.

Security officials are also conducting inspections in the Leninsky district of Makhachkala, which has also introduced a CTO regime.
