Azerbaijani parliament adopts budget for 2014

100 members of the Azerbaijani parliament have voted for the budget of 2014 and two against it, Trend reports.Minister for Finances Samir Sharifov said that income from the budget should total about $23.44 billion (31.4% of the GDP of 2014), dropping by about $990 million (4%), compared with the figure in 2013. Expenses will reach $25.58 billion, exceeding that of 2013 by 1.1%. The budget deficit will total about $2.14, compared with $0.88 billion this year.The income of the consolidated budget will total about $28.03 billion, exceeding the sum in 2013 by $1.6 billion (6.1%), expenses will total about $31.17 billion, exceeding the sum in 2013 by about $40 million (0.2%). The deficit is expected to total $3.13 billion (4.2% of the planned GDP).
