Turkish PM says history, not diplomacy, binds Turkey and Egypt

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan says it is history and not diplomacy which binds Turkey and Egypt. With such a remark the head of the Turkish cabinet reacted to the decision of the Egyptian authorities to expel Turkey's ambassador.

Turkey doesn't recognize the military coup, saying that it supports the Egyptian people. The interim government says Turkey violates Egypt's sovereignty.
