Kazakhstan may help rid Syria of chemical weapons

Kazakhstan may help Syria destroy its chemical weapons, said Anuar Tanalinov, Deputy Director of the Department for Multilateral Cooperation of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, on Thursday, RIA Novosti reports.Kazakhstan hailed Syria for joining the OPCW convention and hopes that all its obligations will be fulfilled and its chemical weapons destroyed on time. Tanalinov said that Kazakhstan viewed the Middle East as a territory that must be free of weapons of mass destruction.
