Russia simplifies visa regime for Georgians
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaZurab Abashidze, Special Envoy of the Georgian Prime Minister for Relations with Russia, said that Russia has been simplifying the visa regime for relatives, businessmen and members of professional art associations in the past months, ITAR-TASS reports.
Russia implemented the visa regime for Georgia in 2000. The latter responded by imposing a similar regime. Georgia simplified the visa regime for Russia in 2004. Georgia further simplified it in October 2010, allowing Russians to stay in Georgia without visas for 90 days. Georgia scrapped the visa regime for Russia on March 1, 2012.
