Karachay-Cherkessian officials suspected of stealing 350 million rubles

Functionaries of the administration of the Malokarachayevsky District (Karachay-Cherkessia) have been accused of stealing about 350 million rubles from the budget, RIA Novosti reports.Investigators suspect the head of the labor and social development department of the district, chief accountant, cashier, head of the section for veterans, handicapped and elderly of being part of the theft scheme. They say that the suspects were stealing funds granted for housing payments and utilities services from January 1, 2012, to August 2013.
