The Israeli authorities are perplexed by Iran's statement that the Islamic Republic protests against the possible participation of Israel in the discussion of the Iranian nuclear crisis. Iran would stop the talks if Israel took part in the process, the statement says.

According to the Iranian authorities, Israel and not Iran is the main threat to the region's security.

Israeli officials are puzzled by the Iranian statement, Vestnik Kavkaza correspondent in Israel Pyotr Lyukimson reports.

The Israeli authorities stress that the country is not going to take part in the nuclear talks, even if it is asked to. As Prime Minister Netanyahu has already noted, Israel condemns the Geneva deal and wants nothing to doi with it.
