Putin abolishes monopoly of Gazprom on export of liquefied natural gas

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law allowing other certain companies to export liquefied natural gas (LNG). Previously, only Gazprom had the right to do it.

The bill was signed by the President on November 30. The law entered into force on December 1.
