Head of Tatarstan Federal Aviation Agency Resigns

Shavkat Umarov, Head of the Tatarstan Directorate of the Federal Air Transportation Agency of Russia, has resigned, ITAR-TASS reports.He noted that heads of structures such as his are usually dismissed after disasters like the Boeing 737 crash at the Kazan Airport on November 17. 44 passengers and 6 crew members died in the accident. The jet belonged to Tatarstan Airlines.
