SOCAR is interested in controlling Georgian gas pipeline system

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) does not exclude purchasing all of Georgia's oil and gas pipelines, including the Georgian section of the gas pipeline from Russia to Armenia, given permission for privatization by Georgian parliament, head of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev said. The Azerbaijani company is interested in exploiting and managing all Georgian pipelines, he said, ANS reports.

Abdullayev added that SOCAR is interested in all energy projects in Georgia.
