Vladimir Kozhin, Russian Presidential Executive, said that 15-20% of all funds granted to Sochi were spent on the Olympic Games, the rest was spent on development of local infrastructure, Komsomolskaya Pravda reports.

The official recalled that he had attended the Winter and Summer Olympics. He noted that it had taken him about two and a half hours to move from the hotel to sports facilities during the Games in Turin. Kozhin recalled that there had been posters saying that people should get to sports facilities 5-6 hours ahead of the start of the Games. The same happened in Vancouver. In Sochi, an electric train can take people to sports facilities in just 25 minutes to an altitude of about 3,000m.
