Geneva-2 to take place as planned

Today, the press secretary of the joint special representative of the UN and the Arab League on Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi Havle Mattar said that the international peace conference on Syria known as Geneva -2, scheduled to take place on January 22, 2014 will no be moved to a later date, despite possible problems with logistics regarding its organization.

Brahimi previously admitted that there might be a problem with accommodation of all guests at the forum. This is caused by the fact that Geneva will host the annual International Salon of Haute Horlogerie from January 20-24.
