No material or political reasons behind halting of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars test - minister

Turkish Minister for Transportation and Communications Binali Yildirim said that the halting of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway test had nothing to do with material or political reasons, APA reports.The railway was an essential project, in terms of restoration of the Silk Road, said the minister. He explained that the difficulties were in coordinating of the railway construction by Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.As an example, Yildirim said that part of the 4-km tunnel in Aktas was on the Turkish and part on the Georgian side. Experts needed a lot of time to find a solution for its construction.Yildirim said that the railway will be tested in 2014.
