Kabardino-Balkarian leader resigns

Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed Kabardino-Balkarian Leader Arsen Kanokov and has appointed Yuri Kokov as the Acting Leader of the republic, RIA Novosti reports.

Kanokov had asked Putin to relieve him of his duties.
