Lack of political will impedes normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations – Sargsyan

 

Armenia has tried to normalize Turkish-Armenian relations, but Turkey hasn’t shown the necessary political will, claimed Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan at the opening ceremony of the military memorial in Gyumri, reports RIA-Novosti. In 2009 Armenia and Turkey signed the “Diplomatic relationship establishment protocol” in Zurich and the “Bilateral relationship development protocol”, which have still not been ratified.
