European Parliament to visit Iran

A delegation of the European Parliament will visit Iran on December 13-16 to meet local politicians and discuss the protection of human rights, said a member of the European Parliament, Isabelle Durant, RIA Novosti reports.The delegation will also meet local legislators, human rights activists, including Nasrin Sotoudeh, opposition figure, Jafar Panahi, winner of the Sakharov Award given last year. Leftists from Finland, Austria, Germany and Netherlands will also be part of the delegation.
