Due to energy projects implemented by Turkey and Georgia, an intergovernmental commission was created.

Today, after a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Taner Yildiz, Minister of Energy of Georgia Kakhi Kaladze said that the committee will discuss the objects to be built in Georgia.

At the meeting the flow of new investments in the country and the work for existing businesses were also discussed, as well as the construction of new transmission lines and substations, he said.

"You know that a lot of interest from foreign investors is seen towards our country. We fear that the power line and substation, which we opened today, soon will not be able to transmit all the electricity produced in Georgia to Turkey and through Turkey to European markets. Accordingly, we discussed new projects - building new transmission lines and substations”.
