Dagestan to oblige bridal couples to undergo medical examinations

Dagestani legislators have proposed amendments to the Family Code of Russia and oblige bridal couples to undergo medical examinations, SKFO.ru reports.According to a clarification note for the amendments, despite high birth rate in the republic (19 per 1000 people), one of every five couples suffers from infertility, one of every eight has problems with carrying a pregnancy. Infertility has tripled in the past five years.
