Mikhail Khodorkovsky hosts press conference in Berlin

Former Russian oil tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who was pardoned by President Vladimir Putin on Friday, hosted a press conference at the Berlin Wall Museum today.

Khodorkovsky thanked German Chancellor Angela Merkel and former foreign minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher, who are believed to have played personal roles in pursuing the Russian president to release the former businessman from prison.

Khodorkovsky stressed that he was going to focus on his family life rather than return to business or politics.
