Pro- and anti-government rallies held in Kyiv

Pro- and anti-government rallies are being held in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv today. At least 12 thousand people took part in the opposition rally on Independence Square, while government supporters gathered in front of the Supreme Rada.

The protests started after President Viktor Yanukovych refused to sign an associate membership agreement with the European Union.
