Abkhazia ratifies agreement on trade regime with Russia

President of Abkhazia Alexander Ankvab signed today a decree on the ratification of the intergovernmental agreement with Russia on the trade regime, the presidential administration reported.

 

President Vladimir Putin signed Laws on ratification of trade agreements with Abkhazia and South Ossetia last week. Earlier the Abkhaz parliament ratified an intergovernmental agreement with the Russian Federation on the trade regime, RIA Novosti reports.

 

The Russian-Abkhaz agreement concluded in 2012 in Moscow introduced the duty-free import of goods. However, the agreement does not concern imports of sugar, alcohol and tobacco.
