Over 40 militant leaders killed in North Caucasus in 2013

Over 260 militants, including 42 militant leaders, were killed and over 320 improvised bombs found in the north Caucasus in 2013, RIA Novosti reports.

70 counter-terrorism operations have been held in the North Caucasian Federal District. 78 terrorism-related crimes, including 12 terrorist attacks were prevented. 72 militants returned to peaceful life.
