Expansion of Customs Union to stimulate region – Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council today that expansion of the Customs Union will stimulate the whole region, RIA Novosti reports.

He noted that the Eurasian market was becoming one of the main sources of economic growth of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. Putin reminded that attendants of the session observed the road map for Armenia’s joining the Customs Union. A similar document for Kyrgyzstan was under considerations.

The Russian leader said that Armenia and Kyrgyzstan will get all the necessary support to join the integration mechanism.
