Turkish military paying special attention to political situation

The Turkish military are paying special attention to the recent developments in the country, the Turkish General Staff says, stressing that "the military does not interfere in political affairs," Azerbaijani news agency Trend reports on Friday.

The statement was issued following a massive anti-corruption operation launched by the Turkish law-enforcement agencies, which resulted in a series of arrests of businessmen and relatives of members of the cabinet.
