Iran does not have enough gas
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe cold weather brought gas consumption in Iran to a record level that forced to restrict fuel supplies to industrial enterprises. Total gas consumption exceeded 482 million cubic meters per day, and power plants of steel, cement and oil industries do not get enough blue fuel.
Earlier, the deputy head of Iran's Ministry of Oil Hamidreza Araghchi urged Iranian families to spend the gas as efficiently as possible. "If gas consumption is not limited, its supply to power plants, industrial facilities and households will be reduced", Araghchi warned, and today his warning became a reality.
According to estimates of the Ministry of Oil, this winter Iran every day will need more than 700 million cubic meters of gas, which means that the coming months will be the most severe in terms of shortages of natural gas in the history of the Islamic republic.
