Russia brings first charges against Syria conflict suspect

Chechnya has opened Russia’s first criminal case on participation in the Syrian conflict, ITAR-TASS reports.Shakhid Temirbultov is suspected of being an illegal member of an armed formation abroad. The police say that he entered Syria in July 2013 and joined an armed formation to fight the local government. Russia has recently activated efforts to find its citizens involved in militant activities of Syria.
