Nerebko and children’s choir to conclude Sochi Olympics

Anna Nerebko and a children’s choir will conclude the Sochi Olympic Games. The choir will consist of 90 singers, ITAR-TASS reports.

Repetitions of the choir took place on January 3-6. Victor Zakharchenko, creative manager of the Kuban Cossack Choir, was the conductor of a group from the Southern Federal District.

The choir of 1,000 singers gathered at the State Academic Mariinsky Theater on January 7 for rehearsal with a symphonic orchestra of creative manager Valery Gergiyev.

All performers will gather in Sochi on February 15. Anna Netrebko from Krasnodar will solo at the performance, her producer Vladislav Monastyrsky said.
