Corruptions remains obstacle for prevention of illegal migration in Russia

The Russian prosecution system will soon mark the 292nd anniversary. Chaika emphasized that over 10,000 grave crimes had been committed by foreigners in Russia in 2013. The official added that corrupt agents in Moscow, regions of Moscow, Irkutsk, Tyumen, Republic or Bashkortostan and other parts of the country were often the reason for migration control.
Chaika said that the number of crimes in 10 months of 2013 dropped from 1.9 to 1.8 million, compared with the same period in 2012. Over half of the crimes were thefts and robberies. Over 40% of crimes remain unsolved.
