Russia urges Syrian rebels to attend Geneva-2 Conference

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov urged Ahmad Jarba, Head of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, to take part in the Geneva-2 Conference and find solutions to end confrontation.

Lavrov and Jarba met yesterday. Russia expressed its approach to the inter-Syrian dialogue via the conference set for January 22, 2014. The talks should be attended by officials of the Syrian government and opposition.
