US secretary of state gives Russian foreign minister potatoes

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State have started talks in Paris. Kerry told journalists that he had planned discussions of Syria with Lavrov a few weeks ago, ITAR-TASS reports.

Kerry gave Lavrov two bottle-shaped potatoes to Lavrov.

Lakhdar Brahimi, Special Envoy of the Arab League and UN for Syria, will join their closed-door talks.
