Baghdad threatens Iraqi Kurdistan for oil exports

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has threatened the Iraqi Kurdistan with economic sanctions today for exporting oil to Europe through Turkey, RIA Novosti reports.

Iraqi Petroleum Minister Hussein al-Shehristani summoned the Turkish charge d’affaires and warned him about the ultimatum.

Turkey and the Iraqi Kurdistan signed agreements in November 2013 to export Iraqi oil to Europe through Turkey.
