North Caucasus to receive 170 billion rubles from budget
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe North Caucasus Federal District will receive over 170 billion rubles from the federal budget within the framework of the Russia’s South Federal Program. 5.1 billion rubles will be granted in 2014, said Igor Slyunyayev, Russian Minister for Regional Development, Yuga.ru reports.
The federal program is supervised by his ministry. He clarified that about 190 billion rubles will be granted for the program in 2014-2020. Regional budgets will grant 17.2 billion rubles.
The program was initiated to build schools. 15.2 billion rubles will be spent to rid pupils of the third shift. 57 schools will be built (32 in Chechnya, 14 in Dagestan, 4 in Stavropol Territory). Over 10 billion rubles will be granted in 2017-2020 annually to keep the program up with the demographic trends in the federal district.
