‘Itera’ constructs gas pipeline and social facilities in Turkmenistan

The international company group Itera is constructing infrastructure facilities for the oil and gas industry and is realizing social projects, Trend reports, citing a press-release from the company.


MRK-Engineering, which is part of the company group, is constructing a cross-country pipeline with a control and gas registration system in Central Karakum. The pipeline is 198 km long and will undergo hydraulic tests before being launched.


Development of the oil and gas fields of block 21 of the Turkmenian sector of the Caspian is a priority project. Itera will build extraction and heating boreholes, technological platforms, coastal complexes and pipelines.


Last year Itera launched a modern sport complex in Turkmenabat and an office center of Itera in Ashkhabad. The company is building two hippodromes in the Balkan and Lebap regions with a capacity of 3,000 people. It is also building a hotel in the Avaz resort zone.


The press-release also reports that Itera presented its projects at the ‘Turkmenian construction-2010’ exhibition, held in Ashkhabad. Itera was awarded a diploma for its activities.
Turkmenistan is playing one of the key roles in the energy market of Central Asia and is interested in supplying the Asian continent with hydrocarbons.
