Syria's Assad meets with Iranian FM

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad met today with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohamad Javad Zarif. The parties discussed "religious intolerance leading to extremism," which, according to Assad, threatens Syria's existence.

The Iranian official stressed the Islamic Republic's support for the Syrian people and the country's government.
