UN chief says both sides of Syrian crisis violated law

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said at the opening of the Geneva-2 Conference that both sides of the Syrian conflict violated the humanitarian law and caused the crisis in the country, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the UN head, escalation of the conflict was aggravated by shipments of weapons and arrival of foreign militants.
