Russian Patriarch to visit Sochi ahead of Olympics

Patriarch of Moscow and All Rusia Kirill is going to visit Sochi ahead of the 2014 Winter Olympic games, the head of the patriarch's press service, Archdeacon Alexander Volkov is quoted as saying by Interfax.

In Sochi the patriarch is expected to visit the Image of Edessa Church.

The patriarch has also blessed all the Russian athletes who are going to take part in the Olympics.
