Iran will not fully scrap nuclear program
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif attending the World Economic Forum in Davos said that the republic will fulfill all the agreements reached in Geneva, but will not fully scrap the nuclear program, ITAR-TASS reports.
He believes that the US is trying to interpret a halt to enriching uranium to 20% as a full-fledged shut down of the nuclear program. The president clarified that, according to the Geneva agreements, uranium will not be enriched to over 5% and all stockpiles of 20%-enriched uranium will be destroyed in half a year. No new centrifuges will be built and new uranium-enrichment centers under construction will be frozen.
The foreign minister added that the agreements signed by Iran and six mediators (permanent members of the UNSC and Germany) did not have a single word on demolition of nuclear facilities.
