The official representative of the International Monetary Fund ( IMF), William Murray, says that its delegation will visit Iran this week.

"At the consultations it is planned to discuss how to restore macroeconomic stability and begin to solve the problems posed by the continuing long-term weakening of the national economic structure," ITAR-TASS quotes Murray.

This is the first trip of this kind for more than two years. It will start as expected, on January 25. The task of the IMF delegation is an assessment of the current state of Iran's economy.
