Kerry: Assad is not ready for a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry says that Syrian President Bashar Assad is apparently not seriously ready to seek a peaceful solution to the crisis in his country.

"He is not ready to seek a solution," Interfax quotes Kerry.

The head of the U.S. State Department also notes that, in his opinion, the Syrian President, in the fight against the rebels who are seeking to overthrow him, has committed war crimes.

Kerry denies recent media reports that the U.S. coordinated with Damascus actions aimed at combating terrorists located on Syrian territory.
