EU to help Georgia with migrants and border control

Georgia has launched a new project to strengthen the potential of the Georgian government in managing borders and regulation of migration, Trend reports.The new project will be realized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM). It will help Georgia make another step towards the visa-free Schengen Zone. The IOM will help improve Georgian legislature in the field of border protection and migration regulation according to EU standards.The project is financed within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Integration and Cooperation Program. It will be in force for 42 months.
