Crimean Supreme Council wants state of emergency declared in Ukraine

The Crimean Supreme Council has urged Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych to declare a state of emergency in the country, ITAR-TASS reports.MPs of Crimea said that protesters in seven regions were storming administrations, building barricades and forming their own governments. They called for an end to state financing of areas where power was taken over. The legislators urged the population to start collecting money for the Internal Forces and police.Ukranian protesters took over administrations in Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil and Cherkasy yesterday. The latter was de-occupied later.
