US president to veto new sanctions against Iran
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaUS President Barack Obama said that he will veto any new sanctions against Iran, ITAR-TASS reports.
He reminded that Iran had started getting rid of highly-enriched uranium and stopped building centrifuges. Obama noted that Iran was supporting Hezbollah but negotiations with Iran were not based on trust and needed a long-term agreement to prove the peaceful nature of the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic.
According to Obama, the negotiations were possible with the help of sanctions. He warned that he would veto any new sanctions the Congress would propose against Iran in order to give diplomacy a chance for success.
