Armenia approves agreement on biological weapons with USA

The Armenian government has approved an agreement signed between the Armenian Emergency Ministry and the US Defense Department on cooperation in the sphere of preventing pathogen production technologies and testing biological arms, News Armenia reports.

Armenian Emergency Minister Armen Yeritsyan said that the agreement was initiated by the US side, which took into account the natural and anthropogenic risks, and the geographical location of Armenia.

He also reported that the US will invest $9 million in the project.
