Sochi Olympic medals pass tests

All medals for the Sochi Olympics have passed tests and will arrive to the city on February 5, ITAR-TASS reports.

The medals were produced in December. It took over a month to mint them. All 1254 medals underwent visual analysis according to jewelry standards. The medals were also dipped in champagne, dropped on the floor, tested by tooth, said Sergey Lukyanchenko, Technical Director of the company manufacturing the medals.
