Brahimi hails results of Geneva conference

The UN and Arab League's Envoy, Lahdar Brahimi, welcomes the results of the first session of the second round of the Geneva conference devoted to the Syrian conflict, RIA Novosti reports on Wednesday.

"I hope that the second session will be more effective. It doesn't mean that I'm not satisfied with the results of the first session. Everything went as I had expected," the news agency cites the UN envoy as saying.
