New political party appears in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan has another political party - "The  Future of Azerbaijan Party",

which was held today at its founding  conference.

According to a member of the Organizing  Committee, Agha Abdullaoglu, the party

has managed to acquire offices in 11 regions  of Azerbaijan.

Committee Chairman Agasif Shakiroglu noted  that the current opposition has for

20 years been acting in vain, consistently  leading to the impairment of

Azerbaijani society. "We will work towards  the revival of the democratic

camp, as well as the strengthening of the  role of youth in the social and political

life of the country. We are ready to cooperate  with the real and principled

opposition parties," he is quoted by APA as saying.

According to Shakiroglu, the party should  hold a congress on February 14.
